Eastern Partnership 10th Anniversary summary event held in Dublin

On December 2, 2019 Eastern Partnership 10th Anniversary summary event was held in Dublin, at the premises of Europe House, which was organized by the Heads of Missions of the Associated Partners of the EU – Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The event was well attended by the representatives of Irish Parliament, Department of Foreign Affairs, EU Ambassadors accredited in Ireland and other guests.
In his welcoming speech the Head of European Commission representation to Ireland Mr. Gerry Kiely summarized some of the achievements and challenges of the Eastern Partnership Initiative, he emphasized the developments made in the fields of economy, success story of the free trade agreement; at the same time, he mentioned that a lot remains to be done.
Heads of Missions of Georgia George Zurabashvili, Republic of Moldova Larisa Miculet and Ukraine Olena Shaloput underlined their commitments to the EU values and irreversible path towards the EU membership. They expressed appreciation to the Irish Government and European Ambassadors for the firm support during the last decade. They expressed hope that EU will also remain committed to the EaP and new ways of engagement will be developed for closer, merit based and more efficient partnership.
The event was followed by a joint reception.
